WHO:
Students from our Adaptive Dance classes and Inclusive Dance Outreach that demonstrate a high skill level, exceptional artistry, a strong passion for and dedication to the art of dance and/or music. Our first year will be limited to 8 apprentices, with growth anticipated each year.
WHAT:
An invitation to be more involved in the creative processes of choreography, dance, music and marketing. Meaning, selected students will have the opportunity to choreograph a piece, dance in additional pieces, play in the band or help with marketing. Our apprentices will get to attend company classes, will receive additional coaching, training and support, will participate in photo shoots and be recognized in our playbills & on our website, and will receive a small performance stipend and/or tuition credit/scholarship.
WHEN:
Offers will be extended in early spring, with activity beginning in June. The Apprenticeship cycle will coordinate with each new show's timeline, starting with creative planning and the summer premiere and ending after each sensory-friendly school show/Encore show run.
WHY:
Allegro Dance Project has always valued inclusion, accessibility and representation, which are values reflected in our mission statement and all aspects of our programming. But this is what we have been ultimately been working for – a dream within a dream, you could say. First, we wanted to bring dance and music to those who might not have had access. Then, to see individuals not only fall in love with dance and music, but to see them progress and advance. Now, we move to offer an inclusive career path, a way to continue to advance their skills and experiences, a space to let their creative voices be heard and the support to help them grow from students into artists.

Nolan Hamilton
Nolan attends Tates Creek High School and is a 10th grade design and engineering student. He has been dancing for 9 years with Allegro Dance Project and is also involved in symphonic band, marching band, soccer and archery. This is his first season as an Allegro Dance Project Apprentice and he is excited to be performing and dancing more! |

Timothy Hellard-Jessup
Timothy is beginning his twelfth year of homeschool and especially loves history and geography - particularly ancient Egypt. He has been dancing with Allegro Dance Project for 2 years and has been training and performing with Bluegrass Youth Ballet since 2016. In addition to dancing, he loves to build and collect Legos. This is his first season as an Apprentice with Allegro Dance Project and he is excited to be dancing all summer and to be on stage! |

Jack Jenkins
Jack recently graduated from Great Crossing High School. He has been dancing for 5 years, studying both with A Chance to Dance and with Allegro Dance Project. In addition to dancing, Jack also plays backetball and does track and field. This is his first season as an Apprentice with Allegro Dance Project and he is excited about performing. |

Savannah Mundy
Savannah is a graduate of Tates Creek High School. She has been dancing with Allegro Dance Project for 10 years. in addition to dancing, Savannah is gifted in creating and editing videos and photography. This is her first season as an Apprentice with Allegro Dance Project and she is excited about engaging with the community and assisting with outreach programming. |

Zoë Proctor
Zoë is a rising Freshman at Bryan Station High School and The Hill. She has been dancing for 9 years and also plays Miracle League Baseball, is in a youth group at her church and plays percussion in the school band. This is her first season as an Apprentice with Allegro Dance Project and she is honored to be choreographing her first piece on the company. |

Ella Ricketts
Ella graduated from the University of Kentucky College and Career Studies Program with a certificate in Universal Design. She has been dancing for 10 years. In addition to dancing, she participates in Special Olympics bowling and Bocce ball, Miracle League Softball and therapeutic horse riding. This is Ella's first season as an Apprentice with Allegro Dance Project and she is excited and a little nervous to be helping create accessible visual aides for dance outreach students and being a trailblazer for other future apprentices. |

Eli Taylor
Eli graduated and earned his diploma from First Light Homeschool and has been dancing for 10 years. in addition to dancing, Eli works as a musician for our Inclusive Dance Outreach Program. He also loves to play Minecraft, plays Miracle League baseball for the Tigers and is developing his own YouTube channel called Bongo Boogie Boy. This is his first season as an Apprentice with Allegro Dance Project and he is honored to work with such an amazing group of dancers and musicians. |

Emily Wilson
Emily is a home school rising Junior and has been dancing for 9 years. In addition to training with Allegro Dance Project, she has also taken classes with Mc Teggart Irish Dance. In addition to dancing, Emily is gifted at playing piano and ukulele and is a popular pet sitter. This is her first season as an Apprentice with Allegro Dance Project and she is happy to be dancing more. |
